Christina (@cetetreault) was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Arizona in her young teen years. After seeing her first summer sunset, this California-coast lover fell deeply in love with the beautiful 48th state and it’s glowing desert views. She is a writer and multimedia journalist in the greater Phoenix metropolitan valley. Following her passions after graduating the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication from Arizona State University, Christina found herself winning the title of Miss Maricopa County, a local title of the Miss America Organization. With being a survivor of suicide loss and having deep passion for humanitarianism, she spent her year of service holding the platform of Suicide Awareness and Prevention where traveled across Arizona advocating on the topic. Her work with The Commit Campaign has done nothing but deepen her passion on the topic and the enriched her strive to reduce the nation’s suicide rate. Christina is a chocolate-addict, niece and nephew lover, avid runner, and word-vomiter, and proud Sun Devil alumna.

KELSEY ONEY  CO-FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Kelsey (@kelsarita) was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She lost her father to suicide her senior year of high school. After moving back from college in Hawai’i, Kelsey decided to explore her father’s mental illness (Bipolar) and death by suicide more, and began her involvement as a volunteer and field advocate with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. In her time volunteering, sitting as a board member for the Arizona Chapter and working as a field advocate, Kelsey learned about mental illness, mental health and suicide. Every year since 2012 Kelsey has traveled to Washington DC to advocate for mental health and suicide prevention legislation. She has also worked with survivors of suicide loss in her home state of Arizona putting on multiple events since 2012 promoting hope and healing. Her work with The Commit Campaign has only made her more driven to end the stigma that she lived with for many years after her father’s death and bring hope and healing to as many people as she can reach. Kelsey is a proud mommy, happy wife, yoga girl, fresh air enthusiast and history buff.
