Chloe Kepner – Mama Makes Her Mark 150 150 The Commit Campaign

The Commit Campaign is proud to have partnered with so many inspiring mothers for the Mama’s Make Their Mark project. Parenthood is an incredibly difficult yet rewarding journey. We want to honor that journey and raise awareness about a mother’s mental health through these series of pictures and blog post.

Below is Chloe Kepner’s extended pledge.

“Being a part of the @commitcampaign shoot was an honor.
I commit to using the phrase “died by suicide”, rather than “committed suicide”. I commit to talking openly to anyone, anywhere about the importance of seeking help for your mental health. I commit to LISTENING when mamas around me are crying out for help.
I was diagnosed with Postpartum OCD and I know what it feels like to be trapped inside your own brain. I ALSO know what healing feels like. I know it is important to share our truths, our stories. How else can we touch others?
I commit to being an ally. I hear you, I see you. I feel you.
You are strong. You are capable of wellness and healing. You are WORTH IT. I commit to helping the mothers around me know that they are loved unconditionally- no mental illness will change that. As women, we can feel empowered and strong. We need each other. The Commit Campaign is dedicated to breaking the stigmas and providing support for those that need help and resources for their mental health. I encourage everyone to explore their (life-saving) site. ”
