Drey Johnson – Mama Makes Her Mark

150 150 The Commit Campaign

The Commit Campaign is proud to have partnered with so many inspiring mothers for the Mama’s Make Their Mark project. Parenthood is an incredibly difficult yet rewarding journey. We want to honor that journey and raise awareness about a mother’s mental health through these series of pictures and blog post.

Below is Drey Johnson’s extended pledge.

“About a week ago I did a photo shoot with @commitcampaign a change because normally I am the one behind the camera. But this is a chance to talk about mental health issues. For me it’s about people I know and being there for them. Really listening. Often I give out quotes either it be someone in the church or everyday people.
One of my favorite quotes recently is by @theshineproject “when we’re feeling broken…the good news is broken can be fixed. And we get to choose how to piece ourselves and our lives back together. Sometimes the easier choice seems to be filling our lives up with things that create a easy fix. But I think there is a better way. I think we can fill our cracks with light, and become stronger”
This quote I have written down in my planner and see it ever so often when I need to. And give to people that are in different stages or life because in a world full of craziness it’s good to know there are people there for you ready to listen.”
